The Great Joy School for Worship Dance

Love God. Learn dance. Have fun.

The Great Joy School for Worship Dance offers an extensive array of dance training while teaching students how to worship the Lord through movement.

Since its founding in 2008, our non-competitive classes have provided a safe environment for students of all levels to learn comfortably. While good dance technique is an important aspect of all our classes, our primary objective is to see our students learn to worship God through dance.

Our Teachers

Celeste Masson

After leading a worship dance team at her church for many years, Celeste Masson felt impressed upon by the Lord to introduce and teach other children and young adults how to worship the Lord through dance. In 2008, Celeste founded the Great Joy School to fulfill this vision. Her backround is primarily in worship dance, and her passion lies in teaching lyrical where she feels she can best express her love for the Lord.

Cindy Spooner

Cindy Spooner has more than 20 years of dance training and teaching experience, primarily in hip hop, jazz, tap, and gymnastics. She studied at Keene State College as well as various studios in NH and MA. Cindy has been with the Great Joy School for 3 years, and feels blessed to be able to use her training in a way that honors and glorifies God.

Becky Mitchell

Becky Mitchell was the Director of the Community School of Dance at Stetson University. She danced and taught for the Southern Ballet Theatre, under the direction of Vasile Petrutiu, and has had the pleasure of training and working with many wonderful teachers and schools. Becky is passionate about helping her students grow and learn, and loves to choreograph and worship the Lord with dance.
